Brooklyn Nets superstar Kyrie Irving is one of the most skilled players in the NBA today–or perhaps ever–and even Phoenix Suns guard Chris Paul is in awe of what he can do with the ball.

Speaking on NBA Hooper Vision, Paul reminisced how he watched Irving play at MSG when the Nets guard was still in high school. It left a deep impression on him since Irving's ability to handle the ball was really top notch, a huge praise from an NBA point guard known as the Point God.

“The stuff he can do with the ball is sick. It's both right hand and left hand,” Paul shared.

Chris Paul is hardly alone in his sentiment, though. Fans and former NBA players alike have high praises for the Nets superstar and his ability to handle the ball with ease and finish at the rim in a variety of ways. That's what makes him a difficult assignment for any defender.

Kendrick Perkins recently called Kyrie Irving the most skilled player in the NBA ever after the Nets scorer dropped 60 points on the Orlando Magic. Back in January, Chauncey Billups also called Kyrie a “wizards” as he echoed the same sentiment Perk recently had.

“Kyrie is just, he’s a wizard, man,” Billups said, per Nick Friedell of ESPN. “He’s must-see TV. I personally think, as somebody that played the position, I think Kyrie’s the most skilled player that’s ever played that position. Just straight skill. Nothing else. Just straight skill. I think he’s the best that I’ve ever seen at the position, skill-wise. So, obviously, he gives you a ton when he’s playing.”

“His shot-making is incredible. He’s a better passer than people give him credit for. He’s obviously a willing teammate. He’s not just all about Kyrie. He passes the ball. He’s a champion. He brings championship pedigree to the table. I think he hit maybe the biggest shot that I ever seen in NBA Finals history, that I seen.”

There is no doubt Kyrie is one of the best finishers and scorers in the NBA, and his handles make him an even bigger threat on a nightly basis. With that said, there is definitely tons of merits on the claim he is the most skilled player in NBA history. He is entertaining to watch as well which, as Billups said, makes him must-see TV.

Fortunately for Nets fans, they'll get to see more of Kyrie moving forward after a change in New York vaccine mandates allows the crafty playmaker to be able to play home games. Kyrie hasn't played a single game at Barclays Center this season because of the city's rules, but everything is going to change now.
