Kevin Durant has reportedly talked to other free agents about joining him on the Brooklyn Nets, according to Brian Windhorst of ESPN.

Stephen A. Smith reported on Thursday that Durant and Kyrie Irving are “pretty much” set to join the Nets once free agency starts on June 30. Brooklyn has cap space to sign both All-Stars this offseason:

“Absolutely, the concept that Durant has talked to other free agents about joining the Brooklyn Nets has reached my ears,” Windhorst said on ESPN's “Get Up.” “Just because they've talked about it doesn't mean it's a final decision.”

Durant is currently in New York City with his brother. The New York Knicks are supposedly still in play for Durant, as are the Golden State Warriors. However, the Nets are the current betting favorite to land KD, who is expected to miss the entire 2019-20 season recovering from his right Achilles tear.

By all accounts, Irving has already made up his mind that he's headed to the Nets, the team he grew up rooting for while living in New Jersey. It's widely believed Durant and Irving want to play with each other. The Warriors can offer Durant a five-year deal worth around $221 million, so that's why the Dubs are still in the back of Durant's mind.
