The Milwaukee Bucks were not able to weather the storm that was DeMar DeRozan on Monday, as they took a 131-127 overtime road loss at the hands of the Toronto Raptors, but Bucks superstar Giannis Antetokounmpo still managed to get off a smile after the game.

And how could he not when around 700 of his countrymen were serenading him in unison at the Air Canada Centre?

The Raptors declared Monday as Greek Heritage Night, according to Doug Smith of TheStar.com, after Toronto-based physician Frank Karantonis planned for an “Antetokounmpo appreciation night” prior to Milwaukee’s arrival in Toronto.

The game was designated Greek Heritage Night by the Raptors, in part to help Karantonis’s group celebrate some of the most passionate sports fans in the world. Anyone who has been anywhere near a world championship in any sport or a game knows how fervent the Greeks can be.

The man they call “The Greek Freak” scored 26 points on 9-of-18 shooting from the field and pulled down nine rebounds to go with seven assists. With the loss, the Bucks dropped to 19-16, and they will be aiming for a bounce back this Wednesday against the Indiana Pacers at home.

Giannis Antetokounmpo is averaging 29.1 points, 10.4 rebounds, and 4.6 assists per game so far this season.
