Want to know how badly the Boston Celtics have caught the injury bug this season? The injury effect has even managed to trickle down to Celtics star small forward Gordon Hayward's German Sheppard, Bubbie, as the dog is scheduled to have surgery to repair his torn ACL.

Yes, you read that correctly. Hayward, who has missed all but one game for Boston this season due to the gruesome leg injury he suffered in the Celtics' opener against the Cleveland Cavaliers, now has his adorable dog up for surgery as well.

In a post earlier today by Gordan's wife, Robyn Hayward, it was confirmed that the Hayward family's beloved German Sheppard is just another victim of the Celtics injury curse during the 2017-18 NBA season.

“According to Gordon Hayward’s wife, even their dog has torn their ACL. Until next season starts I suggest, if you are reading this distance yourself as far from the Celtics organization as you can, Celtics Junkies wrote on Twitter. “No. One. Is. Safe.”

That is most definitely a fair assessment of what has been going on with the Celtics (53-25) throughout the entire season, as the team just recently learned that superstar point guard Kyrie Irving was shut down for the rest of the regular season and playoffs due to knee surgery.

How far will the Celtics be able to go in the Eastern Conference playoffs? With the No. 2 seed already locked up, its safe to say that head coach Brad Stevens will likely rest many of his players for these last few games of the season.
