Boston Celtics guard Kyrie Iriving made a lot of headlines recently following his NSFW response to fan following their win against the Philadelphia 76ers. While making his way to their locker room, a fan heckled him by asking where LeBron James was, and it did not sit well with him, as it could be clearly heard that he made an explicit comment.

The incident has reached the league office, and they have decided to slap a fine of $25,000 on Irving for it, according to ESPN’s Ian Begley. With how strict the NBA has been in enforcing players to always conduct themselves in the best manner possible, the huge amount he needs to pay does not come as a complete surprise at all.

It is worth noting that the former Duke star made it known that he does not regret clapping back at the fan. However, he also admitted that kids should not have heard his comments, and asked for everyone to just move on from it instead.

NBA players have a lot of fans, including children who look up to them. They are considered role models to many, and Uncle Drew's latest burst of emotion definitely does not help his image. With the fine he's now received, the league office is hoping he will learn his lesson, and that they have sent a strong message to all players not to emulate Irving's uncalled for response.
