Chicago Bulls head coach Jim Boylen says power forward Bobby Portis will be on a 24-minute restriction for the next few games.
Portis missed seven games in a row due to a sprained right ankle. He made his return to the lineup this past Sunday against the Brooklyn Nets and finished with 17 points in 19 minutes in the team's 117-100 loss at home.
Per Boylen, Bobby Portis on 24-minute restriction.

Bobby Portis has only played in 10 games this year. Before the ankle sprain, Portis hurt his knee in the fourth game of the season and was sidelined for 23 consecutive games.

Once Portis gets his wind and conditioning back, his minutes restriction will be lifted. Jim Boylen just wants to play it safe with Portis since the big man has missed a bevy of games already this season.
Chicago enters Wednesday with a record of 10-30, 13th place in the Eastern Conference standings. In another rebuild season in The Windy City, development of the young players is the No. 1 priority right now for the Bulls' front office.
Portis will become an unrestricted free agent after this season ends. The Bulls take on the Portland Trail Blazers on Wednesday.
