It's do or die for the Chicago Bulls on Wednesday night as they head into a must-win Game 5 against the Milwaukee Bucks at Fiserv Forum. Unfortunately, the squad will need to get by without Zach LaVine, who entered health and safety protocols on Tuesday. Meanwhile, fellow guard Alex Caruso suffered a concussion scare in Game 4 and had to exit early. That raises the question, is Alex Caruso playing vs Bucks?
Is Alex Caruso playing vs Bucks
Per Shams, Caruso is unavailable to play here because he is still in concussion protocols.
Bulls‘ Alex Caruso is also out tonight vs. Bucks in Game 5 due to concussion protocol. https://t.co/Cecj69B6fA

This is a devastating blow for the Bulls because the former Laker has been their best defender all year long and has done a nice job in this series. Through the first four games, Caruso is averaging 6.3 points, 4.3 assists, and 2.8 rebounds per night. He might not have a huge presence offensively, but Caruso takes pride in containing his opponent.
The Bulls will need all the firepower they can get in order to extend the first round against the Bucks, who are clearly the superior team. Without Caruso and LaVine, DeMar DeRozan will be relied upon to step up in a huge way, while Ayo Dosunmu and Coby White are sure to see an increased load in the Chicago backcourt.
So to answer the question, is Alex Caruso playing tonight? He is not and it could likely be the end of his season altogether if the Bulls are eliminated.
