Chicago hasn’t made the playoffs since 2017. The Bulls’ projected starting lineup in 2019-20 is Kris Dunn, Zach LaVine, Otto Porter Jr., Lauri Markkanen and Wendell Carter Jr. For the Bulls to compete for a playoff spot, LaVine and Markkanen have to essentially play like All-Stars every night.

LaVine said earlier this summer he wants to play in meaningful games this year. For that to happen, LaVine has to improve on the defensive end. We already know he can score the ball. Now it’s time for LaVine to show he can be a high-level defender for the Bulls.
