Duke Blue Devils head coach Mike Krzyzewski is well respected around the college basketball game, and when he hangs it up, he will go down as one of the best coaches of all time.

Not everyone is a fan of his recruiting tactics, and Wendell Carter Sr. wasn't afraid to tell his opinion on how he feels like his family was lied to.

“I tell people. People make promises they can’t keep. It didn’t bother me,” Wendell Sr. said to NBC Sports Chicago. “I was concerned because I felt like we were lied to. ‘Oh, Wendell’s gonna be the man’ and then the rug was pulled from under us.”

Carter Jr.’s mother, Kylia also felt like they weren't given the necessary information about Marvin Bagley III wanting to reclassify.

“My initial reaction, I was pissed. And it wasn’t pissed because Marvin was coming. To be honest, I felt like that was information that was kept from us,” Kylia Carter said. “It felt (shady), it felt like my baby was gonna get kicked to the curb. I felt like all of that.”

Carter Jr. was supposed to be the star of the team, but when Bagley reclassified he quickly took a backseat and was really an afterthought.

He still had a really good year for Duke appearing in 37 games averaging 13.5 points, 9.1 rebounds, and 2.0 assists per game. The Chicago Bulls took him with the seventh pick and the expectations are that he can be a focal point of this team. Still, it is interesting to hear parents come out and talk about such a well-respected coach as Coach K.
