LeBron James of the Los Angeles Lakers is wearing St. Vincent-St. Mary's colored kicks in his return to face his former team, the Cleveland Cavaliers.

James became known as a basketball phenom as a member of the Fighting Irish. It was unusual to see a high school team's games being televised throughout the whole nation. But when you have once-in-a-generation talent like James, such things are bound to happen.

And when James made the leap from high school to the NBA, he proved that he wasn't all hype like most high school stars. Right from the get-go, James showcased that he knew how to play the game and that he deserved to be playing with the best of the best.

So it's a nice little tribute for his high school team on the night he's facing the team that drafted him out of high school. Because more than facing another NBA team, James is coming home.

Unlike his first time back in Cleveland as a member of the Miami Heat, things were different tonight. He wasn't met by boos and fans weren't holding up signs, stating that he is a traitor. Cavaliers fans cheered for James and welcomed him back home.
