Harrison Barnes signed a max deal with the Dallas Mavericks worth $95 million over four years.
After the signing, the Mavs decided to take a picture with Barnes and it came along with a little humor on the situation. Barnes stood handcuffed to GM Donnie Nelson, while coach Rick Carlisle held his contract.
This was a light jab at their own misfortune from last summer, when Los Angeles Clippers center DeAndre Jordan verbally agreed to sign with the Mavericks, only to change his mind and meet with the Clippers to re-sign in Los Angeles before being able to ink his name on the Mavericks contract.
Jordan, Barnes' new Olympic teammate gave him a reaction face-to-face when he saw him at Team USA‘s practice in Las Vegas.
Jordan rambled to Barnes on the UNLV practice court, per ESPN's Arash Markazi:

Of course it was all of DeAndre Jordan's fault that Harrison Barnes was cuffed at all, but he didn't mind jabbing back.
The NBA did, however, shorten the free agent moratorium period, where free agents will need to pick and choose a destination in a shorter period of time. It's always good when you can laugh about a situation that wasn't so funny at one point, even if it ensued with a hilarious Twitter emoji war.
All of the humor shows that both the Mavericks and Jordan have moved on from last summer's funny, but rule changing fiasco.
