The 2019-20 Dallas Mavericks continue their rise this season by setting the franchise record for most three-pointers in a season in their 141-121 victory over the Golden State Warriors on Saturday night. Per Mavs PR, the Mavericks broke their previous record of 22 on Kristaps Porzingis' step-back triple early in the fourth quarter, which marked their 23rd three of the game.
The #Mavericks have broken a franchise record with 23 made threes so far tonight.
It’s their 9th straight games with 14+ made threes, marking the second-longest streak in @NBA History per @bball_ref. The record is held by Houston, who made 14+ threes in 14 straight games. pic.twitter.com/X0530yRdkO

The Mavs wound up with 24 total made threes on the night.
Tim Hardaway Jr. contributed to a quarter of their record-setting night, making six triples, while Slovenian superstar Luka Doncic made five of his own. Porzingis and Seth Curry each made four from downtown.
Doncic led the Mavericks with his ninth triple-double of the season and finished with 31 points, 15 assists, and 12 rebounds in just three quarters. Hardaway socred 25 points on an efficient 9-of-13 night, while Porzingis had 18 points, seven rebounds, and four blocks in the road win.
Dallas has definitely been one of the most surprising teams this year with the way they have started their 2019-20 campaign. They currently sit at fourth in the Western Conference with a 21-10 record.
Article Continues BelowMuch of the Mavericks' success this season has to do with the meteoric rise of Luka Doncic, who has emphatically punched his name in the MVP conversation through the first 30 games of the season. Dallas' offense runs exclusively through Doncic, and his outstanding play has made them the best offensive team in the league.
Even though they are just in the middle of the pack defensively, the Mavs still boast the second best net-rating across the entire NBA behind the Milwaukee Bucks.
In addition, Dallas has also transformed into one of the best three-point shooting teams this season. They average 15.2 makes from deep – good for 2nd in the league – while making them at a 36.9 percent clip, which is fifth among all teams.
The Mavericks look to keep the momentum going tonight when they pay a visit to Staples Center to face Anthony Davis, LeBron James, and the Los Angeles Lakers.
