It appears that Dallas Mavericks big man Kristaps Porzingis has already progressed significantly in his recovery from the knee injury that has caused him to miss the start of the season for the Mavs.

Porzingis will be suiting up for Dallas on Thursday against the Golden State Warriors in what is the second night of a back-to-back set.

After sitting out the first nine games of the campaign, Porzingis made his season debut on January 13. Since then, he's skipped a couple of games, which were both second legs of back-to-back contests. This is the third time the Mavs will be playing in two consecutive nights since Porzingis returned, and the fact that he has been given the green light to take the court certainly bodes well for his current fitness level.

It is also worth noting that Porzingis logged 34 minutes on Wednesday against the Atlanta Hawks, which is the most he's played since his season debut in mid-January. At this point, it remains unclear if he will be on a minutes limit on Thursday against the Warriors, but as it seems, the 7-foot-3 big man will not have any restrictions entering the matchup.

Dallas will be facing off against a Warriors side that has been decimated with injuries. James Wiseman, Kevon Looney, and Eric Paschall — among others — have all been ruled out for Thursday's tile, leaving the Dubs with no traditional center available.

Draymond Green will be starting for Golden State at the five, and while he is a tremendous defender, the Mavs will likely take advantage of the height discrepancy in this matchup.
