Kristaps Porzingis' end goal with the Dallas Mavericks is obviously to win an NBA championship, but the 7-footer understands the Mavs first have to make the playoffs to gain experience.
During his time with the New York Knicks, Porzingis never played in the postseason. It's something KP is looking forward to experiencing next season when he suits up for the Mavs.

I want to get that first feel. I understand that we're not going to win a championship in one year, but that is the end goal.
“But in my mind, we have to take that first step: make the playoffs, see how far we can get in the playoffs, get that first experience, get that first taste. Then take the next step and make the right moves towards that next step.”
The Mavs are hoping Kristaps Porzingis and Luka Doncic can lead the franchise back to the playoffs and ultimately the Finals.
KP has fully recovered from the ACL tear he suffered last season with the Knicks.
Dallas fans can't wait to see Porzingis and Doncic play together in the 2019-20 season.
