Luka Doncic and Dallas Mavericks simply can't catch a break right now. While their franchise star hasn't played since December 10th due to an ankle injury, he's now landed in COVID-19 protocols, which puts his status in serious doubt for the Mavs' Christmas showdown with the Utah Jazz.
Kristaps Porzingis (right toe soreness) will be questionable for tomorrow night’s game against the Bucks.
Luka Dončić (health & safety protocols) and Trey Burke (health & safety protocols) will be out.

Aside from Doncic's absence, Kristaps Porzingis has been battling a toe problem and is questionable for Thursday night's contest against the Milwaukee Bucks.
Luka has missed the last five games for the Mavs but they've managed to go 3-2 during that span. Between injuries and COVID absences, Dallas's rotation is looking extremely thin right now. That being said, the organization went out and signed former lottery pick Marquese Chriss to add some bench depth. He played well in a win over the Timberwolves on Tuesday, collecting six points and eight rebounds.

Despite missing time, Luka is putting together another All-Star-like campaign. The Slovenian is pouring in 25.6 points per game to go along with 8.5 dimes and eight boards. Let's hope he can recover quickly from COVID and the ankle injury because the Mavs need their best player back in the mix as they currently sit at 15-15 on the season.
