Dallas Mavericks star Luka Doncic is celebrating his 21st birthday in Miami. The Mavs star plans to go out to South Beach for dinner after Dallas' game against the Miami Heat.
However, Doncic doesn't see turning 21 as that big of a deal since adulthood for him started when he turned 18, via The Dallas Morning News:

With South Beach just 25 minutes from the Mavericks’ hotel, across Biscayne Bay, it’s hard to imagine Doncic settling for dinner and a win, but then again the legal drinking age in his native Slovenia is 18.
So what does turning 21 mean to Slovenians?
“Nothing,” Doncic said.
Nothing?
“No,” he said, “in my country adulthood is 18.”
Doncic has taken the NBA world by storm, similar to how LeBron James did when he was a youngster with the Cleveland Cavaliers. The reigning Rookie of the Year said last season he was surprised how well he played during his rookie campaign and now he is an MVP candidate and the new face of the Mavs franchise in the post-Dirk Nowitzki era.
Luka is averaging 28.7 points, 9.6 rebounds and 8.7 assists on the season for the Mavs while shooting 46.4 percent from the field, 32.3 percent from beyond the arc and 76.2 percent from the free-throw line.
Barring a late season collapse, the Mavs appear on their way to making the playoffs for the first time since 2016. Basketball fans are anxious to see Luka Doncic and fellow All-Star big man Kristaps Porzingis on the NBA’s biggest stage.
