Dallas Mavericks star Luka Doncic set multiple records with his 40-point triple-double in their win over the Detroit Pistons.

Doncic tallied 41 points, 12 rebounds, and 11 assists. He becomes the first player in NBA history to record a triple-double outside the USA and Canada. The duel between the Mavericks and the Pistons were held in the Mexico City Arena in Azcapotzalco, Mexico City.

In addition, Doncic is the only player to notch two 40-point triple-doubles before turning 21. A 20-year-old LeBron James achieved the feat once in his career.

In addition, Doncic has surpassed the most points scored in game played in Mexico City. The previous record was held by Devin Booker of the Phoenix Suns who scored 39 points twice in the 2016-17 season.

Doncic continues to showcase his amazing talents in just his second year in the league. He has truly taken the league by storm. Analysts and colleagues have continually praised almost every aspect of his game. From his picture-perfect shooting form, his dreaded step-back move, his superior knowledge of the game at such a young age and his overall passion.
