The Dallas Mavericks have yet to make a major move in free agency, but with most of the top and mid-tier players already signed to other teams, it is now going to be difficult for them to surround Kristaps Porzingis and Luka Doncic with a good supporting cast. Aside from signing Seth Curry, all the Mavs did was re-sign two of their key players from last season, Dwight Powell and Maxi Kleber.
This has caused Mavs fans to worry, as most of the Western Conference teams have bolstered their rosters. They have voiced their frustrations on social media, with the hopes that their team will soon make valuable moves.
But for team owner Mark Cuban, there's no need to worry.
Cuban was interviewed during halftime of Saturday's Summer League game between the Mavs and the Houston Rockets at Cox Pavilion, and he just laughed at the people who seem to be panicking on Twitter, comparing their reaction to people who attend a Jerry Springer show.

It’s just straight out of Jerry Springer. It’s humorous, but it’s not reality. It’s like, ‘There was a rumor that you were supposed to get this guy, and you didn’t get that guy that you were rumored to get, so because you didn’t get the guy that you were rumored to be going after, you had a horrible free agency.’”
Cuban assured fans that the Mavs aren't done making moves, so they should have more patience in the meantime.
“We’re working on a couple of guys we want. It’s one guy we didn’t get that we wanted, but everything else pretty much runs the course. There’s no rush. We’ll play it out and see what happens.”
The Mavs targeted a few free agents like Danny Green, who's now with the Los Angeles Lakers and Patrick Beverley, who returned to the Los Angeles Clippers. Although they were not able to sign both guys, Cuban reiterated that the team is not in panic mode and will do whatever it takes to build a competitive roster next season.
