The NBA has proposed changes to the regular season, including an in-season tournament with incentives for the teams. Nothing is etched in stone yet, as league, teams and the NBA Players' Association will still have to discuss the details of the competition. However, while it's still in the early stages, Dallas Mavericks owner Mark Cuban has already aired his disapproval about the proposal.

Via Twitter, the Mavs owner sent out a series of tweets arguing against the in-season season tournament and the incentives attached to it. He called the proposal “dumb,” highlighting that it will change the entire landscape of free agency recruitment, among other things.

Cuban also touched upon the health of his best players. For the outspoken Mavs boss and businessman, it doesn't make sense to field him out there if the team is going to get the 31st pick.

Most fans are against the new proposals, which includes 78-game regular season instead of 82. They are worried that the all-time records won't mean anything that much moving forward.

As such, Mark Cuban's tweets give us an inside look as to how the front office thinks. Individual records are great but what concerns them is the long-term success of their organization, which is largely dependent on the health of their players and upcoming prospects.
