Tim Hardaway Jr. of the Dallas Mavericks exited their duel against the Los Angeles Lakers after tweaking his hamstring.

He sustained the injury in the first quarter after a one-on-none fastbreak slam. As he ran to the other side of the court, Hardaway started to grimace in pain and hold his left leg. He headed straight to the locker room afterward. In seven minutes of action, Hardaway Jr. had two points and one rebound.

If Hardaway's injury turns out to be a serious one, then it'll be a huge blow to the Mavs' offense. After all, he puts up 14.1 points per game on 42.6 percent from the field, 38.6 percent from deep, and 80.6 percent from the free-throw line. He also snags 2.6 rebounds per game and dishes out 1.7 assists.

The 27-year-old is having a very productive year. He's been a key piece of the Mavs' relative success thus far. He's one of the favorite recipients of Luka Doncic's assists, being that he has a capacity to knock down threes and that he finishes well around the rim.

Expect the Mavs to be extra cautious in handling Hardaway's injury. The team is now in the running for a postseason appearance. And they'll need his services when this time comes.
