Dallas Mavericks star Luka Doncic missed his third straight game in the team's road match against Philadelphia 76ers at the Wells Fargo Arena on Friday. Still, members of the MFFL were treated to a welcome sight prior to tip-off as their Slovenian sensation was seen performing wind sprints, as seen in a clip from Dallas Morning News reporter Brad Townsend.
Unusual. Wind sprints in an NBA arena before a game, but for @luka7doncic and the Mavs, it’s all that’s available. Clearly ramping up his activities. pic.twitter.com/Ne8rIywVeA

Doncic, who sustained a right ankle sprain versus the Miami Heat las week, appeared to have no mobility issues as he completed the drill with no hitch. He missed Dallas' last two games against the Milwaukee Bucks and Boston Celtics, where the team managed to split a win and a loss.
The Mavs complete their Eastern Conference road trip against defending champions Toronto Raptors on Tuesday, but the team has yet to confirm it Doncic will be ready by then. Although his injury was diagnosed as a mild sprain, the Mavs are still taking extreme precaution with their franchise player.
Doncic is already in the MVP conversation in just his second year in the league, averaging 29.3 points, 9.6 rebounds, 8.9 assists, and 1.2 steals in 25 games.
