Luka Doncic and Trae Young are two of the brightest young players in the NBA, and while the two of them will find out who will finish as Rookie of the Year later this month, both already know they finished top-10 in a very interesting stat.

According to Bleacher Report's Andy Bailey, both Young and Doncic finished in the top of unassisted threes in 2018-19, including the playoffs and regular season. With both Young and Doncic not even qualifying for the playoffs, it goes to show just how lethal the pair can be at not only creating their own shot, but also making them.

For Doncic, his ability to create space stems from his now signature step-back shots, as he’s shown the ability to create enough of a window between himself and a defender to sink a shot. For Trae Young, his incredible dribbling and movement are what helps him create space, and as he’s known as one of the best young shooters in the game, especially from several feet from beyond the arc, it makes sense for him to be here.

While both players will have very bright futures in the league, both Doncic and Young will be battling it out for Rookie of the Year honors later this month. While it does seem like Doncic’s award to lose, Young had an incredible finish to his rookie season, and along with these two rookies, a ton of players from the 2018 NBA Draft Class have shown that they have what it takes to lead the NBA going forward.
