NBA Hall of Famer and TNT analyst Reggie Miller has no doubt the Denver Nuggets are going to be one of the best teams in the Western Conference again.

Miller, though, wants to know one thing: how do the Nuggets handle being the hunted instead of being the hunters?

“My only problem with the Nuggets will be this: now they are being hunted,” Miller said, via Nick Kosmider of The Athletic. “They will have a bullseye on their back. How does a young team banking on chemistry — which is fantastic — with a strong, young core navigate these things? These are things Michael Malone and his staff will have to navigate.

“When you have that bullseye on your back and you have Stan Van Gundy and Reggie Miller and these other guys saying, ‘Oh, they should definitely win the West,’ how do you handle that? On those back-to-back nights, when they go into Minnesota, a game they should win, how are they going to be? How are they going to react to that? To me, that’s my only question mark.”

The Nuggets won 54 games last season and were the second seed in the West. Denver won't be surprising teams this season after what they showed in 2018-19.

Like Miller says, teams will now try and knock the Nuggets off their high horse after having a successful campaign. It's going to be very interesting to see how Michael Malone's team reacts to the increased spotlight and expectations.
