Isaiah Thomas made his return to the court last month as a member of the Denver Nuggets. Before this year, however, he spent the last two seasons bouncing around teams who didn't think he could recover from the hip injury he suffered back in 2016.

After an MVP-caliber season with the Boston Celtics, Thomas has been traded to the Cleveland Cavaliers and the Los Angeles Lakers before finally signing a veteran's minimum deal with the Nuggets last summer.

In an interview with Steve Bulpett of the Boston Herald, Thomas admitted that for the first time in two years, he's playing pain free, and that he's glad that he feels normal again.

“It feels good, because I finally feel normal again. It’s been a while since I’ve been able to play with no pain, so it feels amazing. Even though I’m on a minutes restriction and I’ve slowly got to get back into things, I can’t complain because I’ve been out of basketball a while.”

Isaiah Thomas has been limited to at least 15 minutes per game since his return, and he has been able to produce decent numbers. In nine games for the Nuggets so far, he is averaging 8.6 points, 1.3 rebounds and 1.7 assists while also shooting 37.3 percent from the field.

While those aren't exactly the numbers IT was hoping to get, he understands that he's playing for a team that plans to make a deep run in the playoffs. Although his individual goals would have to be set aside, he still plans to do his best to become one of the best players in the league once again.

“All I want to do is really show people I’m healthy. I feel great finally, and I’m just slowly working my way back,” Thomas added.
