Nikola Jokic never fails to provide entertainment in every single interview he conducts with reporters. The Denver Nuggets big man is in the midst of an MVP season, currently leading his team to fourth place in the West.

As many are probably aware, Jokic fell to 41st overall in the 2014 NBA Draft out of Serbia. Usually, there isn't a lot of gems that come out of the back half of the second round, but the Joker is clearly one.

Rachel Nichols of ESPN recently asked the Serbian if falling so far in the draft bothered him. Nikola Jokic responded in hilarious fashion, claiming that he was actually dead asleep:

Jokic's brother, who was in New York at the time, actually called him to let the Nuggets star know that he'd just been picked. The response from the Joker was absolutely classic and was only the beginning of some non-stop funny moments from the 26-year-old.

It took some time for Nikola Jokic to really adjust to the NBA level, but the last two campaigns have been spectacular. In 2020/21, he's putting up averages of 26.2 points, 10.9 boards, and 8.6 assists per night. Jokic has developed into one of the most gifted passing bigs in the league, dishing out videogame-like dimes on a nightly basis.

For a 41st pick, it's actually pretty amazing that he is most likely going to win MVP this season. Despite losing Jamal Murray to a season-ending knee injury, the Nuggets remain a serious threat come playoff time with Nikola Jokic, Michael Porter Jr, and Aaron Gordon leading the way.

He may not act like it, but I'm sure there is part of him that does think back to falling so far in the draft. But based on his answer, it clearly isn't bothering the Joker too much.
