Denver Nuggets big man Nikola Jokic feels right at home on the basketball court, but his true passion is actually for horses. He owns his own racehorse and spends a good deal of time in stables, especially when he’s back home in Serbia. In fact, he says he’d be a stable boy if it weren’t playing basketball in the NBA.

It’s certainly a unique piece of insight into Jokic’s personality to find out about his love of horses. It gives an idea of how his life is away from the court, and what it could’ve been had he not been blessed with the ability to be an outstanding basketball player.
Luckily for Jokic, he is an elite basketball talent, which is why he’s playing in the NBA. That job pays a bit more handsomely than being a stable boy, which is also a nice plus for him.
The 22-year-old Nuggets star still has a long career ahead of him, but once his playing days are over, Jokic will finally have all the time in the world to be where he truly loves.
