The Detroit Pistons are undefeated through their first four games of this season, and five-time All-Star Blake Griffin has played a big role in that achievement. In fact, Griffin (33.8 points per game) is currently the No. 2 scorer in the NBA, just behind Golden State Warriors point guard Steph Curry (34.6 PPG).

So far this season, Griffin has racked up a whopping 135 points. As a result, he is now the highest-scoring Piston through the first four games in franchise history. Grant Hill, who scored 123 points in the same allotment of time (1998-99), has been relegated to second place.

Griffin has been lighting up the nets through the early stages of this season, but he's also been cleaning the glass with authority. According to StatMuse, Griffin is the first Detroit Piston to produce three straight 25-point, 10-rebound games since the great Bill Laimbeer did it in January of 1985.

Griffin logged 36 minutes in a 110-103 victory over the Cleveland Cavaliers on Thursday night, scoring 26 points and 10 rebounds. In Tuesday's 133-132 overtime win against the Philadelphia 76ers, the former Oklahoma Sooner racked up 50 points, which was the highest output from a Pistons player since Richard Hamilton's 51 on Dec. 27, 2006, in a triple-overtime loss to the New York Knicks. Furthermore, Griffin's point total against the Sixers was the seventh-highest in Pistons history, and he is now the fifth different player to score 50 for Detroit, according to ESPN.

Griffin and the Pistons will be back in action on Saturday night, when they'll welcome the Boston Celtics to Little Caesars Arena. Tip-off is set for 7:00 p.m. EST.
