It doesn't look like the Detroit Pistons are going to pursue a Russell Westbrook trade with the Oklahoma City Thunder, according to Vincent Ellis of The Detroit Free Press.
The Thunder are expected to trade Westbrook before the 2019-20 season starts. The Pistons have been mentioned as a possible landing spot for the former MVP.

“Ridiculous,” a league source texted. “Nothing there.”
The Pistons don't really have any assets the Thunder would be interested in. Detroit isn't going to trade All-Star power forward Blake Griffin or center Andre Drummond. Westbrook has four years left on his deal. The explosive guard will make $38,506,482 next season.
The Pistons signed Derrick Rose on the first day of free agency. He will likely back up Reggie Jackson unless Detroit trades Jackson. Rose, a former MVP himself, averaged 18.0 points per game this past season with the Minnesota Timberwolves.
A team with Westbrook, Griffin, Drummond and Rose on it would be a lot of fun to watch. However, the Pistons already have a lot of money tied into Griffin and Drummond. Adding Westbrook would make their finances a mess.
