The Detroit Pistons are off to a blazing start this season and that’s in no small part because of big man Blake Griffin’s sensational play.
The Pistons extended their win streak to four games and sustained an unblemished record Thursday night by taking down the visiting Cleveland Cavaliers at Little Caesars Arena, 110-103.
Griffin, following up on his incredible 50-point performance in a previous win over the Philadelphia 76ers on Tuesday, finished the Cavs game with 26 points, two of which came from this dunk off a sweet spin move that left all Cleveland defenders scratching their heads.

That’s what happens when good offense meets bad defense. Blake Griffin is a deceptively crafty offensive player, but even then, there’s no way he should have been able to reach the basket that easy if only the Cavs showed any semblance of interest in defense.
The Pistons star shot 9-for-13 from the floor with four 3-pointers, 10 rebounds, three assists, a steal, and a block in only 36 minutes of action. It helped Griffin a lot that the Cavs were missing the services of Kevin Love (foot soreness) in the game, but with the way he’s playing these days, his numbers wouldn’t have been affected much even if Cleveland came in at full strength.
Blake Griffin is averaging 33.8 points on 55.7 percent shooting from the field, 11.0 rebounds, and 5.0 assists per game, thus far this season. Just recently, he erupted for a career-high 50 points in the Pistons' win over the Philadelphia 76ers.
The Pistons will look to get their fifth win of the season this coming Saturday against the Boston Celtics at home.
