The Golden State Warriors and Dallas Mavericks will continue their battle in the Western Conference Finals in Game 5. After the Mavs won to keep the series alive, the Dubs will have another chance to eliminate them. This time, they will square off at the Chase Center.

The Mavs face a massive deficit but are a strong team led by a superstar, Luka Doncic. The team has been resilient around Doncic, who is making a strong case for the best player in this year's playoffs so far. The Warriors just witnessed how strong they can be when they play at the top of their game.

Golden State will have the home crowd behind them with a ticket to the NBA Finals up for grabs. Here are three Warriors Game 5 predictions.

Golden State Warriors Game 5 predictions

3. Draymond Green gets a triple-double

Green is a frequent preacher of players who are built for 16 games compared to 82 games. He has had several massive playoff moments in the past. With the chance to snap the Warriors' two-year Finals drought, expect Green to put on a show and stuff the stat sheet.

Scoring has not been hard to come by for Green (by his own standards). He is averaging 9.0 points per game against the Mavs, scoring exactly 10 points in three of the four contests, including the last two. His 3-point shot is still nonexistent but he is shooting an even 50 percent from the field across the series. Game 5 could be his best game yet.

The Warriors may also need to go with small-ball lineups more often, which could open up rebounding opportunities and an offense that flows better with more scoring options. Golden State will need every ounce of energy from its heart and soul.

2. Stephen Curry goes for 40 points

The Warriors will need a big game out of their leading scorer. With the chance to close the series out at home, it's the perfect storm for Curry to come through.

Curry's off-ball movement always makes him a problem. For the Mavs, it has been particularly difficult to keep up with him as he zigs and zags around the court. The Warriors should have no problem getting Curry looks at the hoop. Curry has also had success taking it into the teeth of the Mavs defense.

Curry inflicts lots of pain on defenses in home playoff games. Game 5 is his next chance to put the Warriors on his back and get them back into the finals.

1. The Warriors dominate and advance to the NBA Finals

The Warriors are the better team in this series. They have shown that not only by winning the first three games but by bringing Game 4 back to single digits after doing down by as much as 29.

Golden State not only has Curry and Green but it also has a team comprised of NBA-playoff-hardened vets and young supporting pieces who have shined at different times in the 2022 NBA playoffs. The Mavs will have a tough time keeping up with a Warriors team motivated to end the series and secure a finals berth. It'll be up to the team to play at that level. If it can, Curry and company will have a shot at their fourth ring.

Final prediction: the Warriors beat the Mavs 120-107 in Game 5.
