The Golden State Warriors will ready up a substantial offer for sixth man Andre Iguodala after he had an “excellent” meeting with the Houston Rockets earlier today, consequently canceling the rest of his meetings with the rest of the remaining teams vying for his services.
The front office would likely offer him a three-year contract ranging between $13-to-15 million per year, according to Anthony Slater of the San Jose Mercury News.
The Warriors cannot afford to make a mistake in negotiations, given the utmost pressure that the Rockets have put in the situation after falling out of talks with Nene and making that cash available for Iguodala.
Prior to the free agency period, it was known that Iguodala has strong ties to the tech world in the Bay Area and would only consider leaving for a winning team that could offer a good living situation as well as the right amount of years and salary.

Houston seems to have checked all of those boxes.
Warriors president and general manager Bob Myers will put his Executive of the Year award on the line by making this signing, after having inked the likes of Shaun Livingston, Stephen Curry, and most recently David West within the last 24 hours.
Iguodala met with the San Antonio Spurs by request and later went to Houston, who put an offer on the table for the unrestricted free agent. According to Marc J. Spears of The Undefeated, Houston does not have $10 million to give Iguodala without the necessity of dumping more salary, so it looks like Myers and company will speak with cold hard cash when it comes time to reel in the 2015 Finals MVP later today.
