The Golden State Warriors are set to host Game 2 of the NBA Finals against the Boston Celtics. They trail the series after losing Game 1 Thursday night, 120-108. While Golden State attempts to even the series, they will have to do it without veteran Andre Iguodala.

According to The Athletic's Shams Charania, the Warriors have ruled Iguodala out for Game 2.

Iguodala has been battling a neck injury. He returned to the Warriors bench for Game 1 vs. the Celtics after missing a couple of weeks with injury. He played a total of just 12 minutes in the Game 1 loss, but was on the court for much of the fourth quarter. He finished with seven points and three assists on 3-for-4 shooting.

Iguodala's presence provides a little needed size for the undersized Warriors. Boston is clearly much longer and plays a more physical brand of basketball. That is something that the 2015 NBA Finals MVP brought to the table for the Warriors.

With Iguodala ruled out, it puts Warriors head coach Steve Kerr facing a tough question. Does he simply roll with a seven-man rotation. Jordan Poole and Otto Porter Jr. were the only two other players beside Iguodala that played in Game 1 (outside final minute of mop-up time).

Or, does Kerr give the young, athletic Jonathan Kuminga some run in a crucial Game 2. He could also look to utilize power forward Nemanja Bjelica for his size and strength in the paint.

The Boston Celtics are mostly healthy. The only player banged up is Robert Williams, who has been playing through knee pain.
