Golden State Warriors forward Andrew Wiggins is the latest player to back up Draymond Green, who commented on the unfair treatment of players on the trade block. Like Green, Wiggins expressed his belief that the league should step up to protect the players from embarrassment.
In a recent appearance on 95.7 The Game, Wiggins backed Green's opinions regarding the double standard the league and media show to players. To recall, Green went on a rant in a postgame presser in the Warriors' 129-98 win over the Cleveland Cavaliers on Wednesday.
Citing the Andre Drummond-Cleveland Cavaliers fiasco, Green slammed how some players seem to have no say or no choice amid trade talks that concern them. And when a player requests for a trade, like what happened to James Harden or Anthony Davis, they get crucified by the media. For critics, the players should do their best to honor the contract.

This trend has been going on for quite some time now. Before the rant of the Warriors All-Star, some players have accepted that it's simply part of the business. At some point in their careers, they will be traded because the organization sees fit to do so.
In recent memory, the likes of DeMar DeRozan and Derrick Rose are two players who got extremely emotional after being traded away from a team they called home for a good number of years. They eventually accepted that that's just the way of the NBA.
However, Draymond Green's recent comments, backed up by several players like Warriors teammate Andrew Wiggins and NBA icon Dwyane Wade, have again raised this controversial topic. It would be interesting to see how the NBA and its teams deal with this, especially as it gains traction with more people chiming in.
