Since becoming an All-Star, some pointed out that Andrew Wiggins' play suddenly dipped. Now, others have been calling him out anew for not performing in the NBA Playoffs, as the Golden State Warriors look to boot out the Denver Nuggets in Game 5 of their first round battle.
While Wiggins isn't putting up eye-popping numbers like the trio of Stephen Curry, Klay Thompson, and Jordan Poole, the versatile forward remains a key component in the team, according to Draymond Green. The outspoken veteran recently defended Wiggins from those heavily criticizing his play (via House of Highlights).
“I've been saying it in the last couple of games, Wiggins is playing incredible basketball. I know most people gonna look and say ‘Oh man, he had nine points.' And it really just shows you the lack of knowledge around the game of basketball and how people can't watch the game and dissect what's really going on. Because Wiggins has been playing incredible basketball on both ends of the floor.”

While it's easy to dismiss Green's remarks as simply supporting a teammate and not creating any friction within the Warriors, we all know that he would be the first one to call out a teammate when he's playing below par. So, when Green says Wiggins is playing incredibly, it's the truth.
Wiggins had his best game in their series against the Nuggets in their loss to Game 4, finishing with 20 points, six rebounds, two steals, and two blocks.
The Warriors will try to close it out in Game 5 on Wednesday.
