Golden State Warriors star Draymond Green didn't mince words when describing his horrible performance in Game 3 of the NBA Finals against the Boston Celtics.
Green fouled out of the contest and finished with a brutal stat line of two points, four rebounds and three assists. Overall in the series, he has scored only 15 points, which is just as many fouls he has already committed.
The Warriors vet admitted that he played “like shit” in Game 3, and he didn't hold back in his criticisms of himself.
Article Continues Below“I was soft,” Green told reporters when asked about the most disappointing thing about his play on Wednesday night, per Ohm Youngmisuk of ESPN.
True enough, Draymond Green was non-impactful in Game 3 and “soft” might just be the most apt word to describe his performance. The Warriors forward didn't have his usual grit and bite on defense, as he seemed just a step slower all night long.
Steve Kerr, however, is not making a big deal of Green's latest setback. According to the Warriors coach, he is confident their defensive anchor is more than capable of bouncing back after such a bad game.
The Warriors have fallen behind the Celtics in the series once again, 2-1. If they want to tie that before going back to San Francisco, then they definitely need a bounce-back game from Green.
