San Francisco, CA – Golden State Warriors superstar Stephen Curry made his return to the hardwood in Game 1 of the first round of the NBA Playoffs. The two-time MVP came off the bench and scored 16 points in 21 minutes in their win over the Denver Nuggets.

Draymond Green was happy to have Curry back and thought it was a great idea to bring him in with the Warriors' second unit. He also sees some pros to keeping him as the sixth man permanently.

“That's the greatest player ever to come off the bench,” Green told ClutchPoints. “That's a pro. Now, I don't know how long that will last maybe another game or two or three, who knows? But if he stays that way for the rest of this playoff run and next year, I guarantee you I’m going to Caesars and placing my bet for Sixth Man of the Year.”

Warriors coach Steve Kerr spoke with the media on Sunday morning but wouldn't reveal if Curry will continue to come off the bench. The idea behind bringing Curry in with the second group is to reduce how long he's actually sitting still, and so he can close each quarter.

Their rotation in Game 1 didn't matter much, as the Warriors trounced the Nuggets, 123-107. It was their first postseason victory at the Chase Center. They hope to protect their home court again on Monday when they try to take a 2-0 series lead.

Will the Warriors continue to use Curry as the greatest reserve player ever? Or will Kerr throw him in the starting lineup? In less than 24 hours, we'll have the answer.
