NBA moms can be quite expressive these days especially when it comes to their sons. However, during the Golden State Warriors’ 149-124 thrashing of the Chicago Bulls, Draymond Green’s mom was tweeting wildly as his son’s teammate, Klay Thompson, went about destroying the record books.
Thompson scored 36 points in the first half alone, an impressive output for any player for an entire game. He made a scorching 12-of-16 from the field and 10-of-14 from three-point range. The sharp-shooting son of Mychal Thompson finished the game with a season and NBA high 52 points including an NBA record 14 threes.
After Thompson made his eighth and ninth three-pointers in the first half, Mary Babers wanted to ask for mercy on behalf of the Bulls.

Later, Babers, probably aware of Thompson’s early-season struggles, cheered on the other half of the Splash Brothers in support.

ClutchPoints’ Arlos Sara noted the contrast between Thompson’s previous games this season and this one:
“Thompson entered the contest averaging an atrociously sub-standard 15.1 points per game on 13.9 percent shooting from 3-point distance. The Warriors have managed to stave off Thompson’s shooting woes thanks to scorching performances from both Curry and Kevin Durant.”
Later, it was Kevin Durant’s turn to work on the Bulls and Babers made everyone well aware of the small forward’s contributions in this game.

She then went on a tear practically commenting on every major play. Here’s a sample:

Babers is certainly passionate about the NBA and his son’s team. Can you imagine how much more pumped up she could be if it was her Draymond Green who accomplished the feat? Twitter might not be ready for that.
