It wasn't that long ago when the Golden State Warriors were the betting favorites against practically any team in the NBA. Fast forward today, that is not the case anymore. Far from it, actually.

Despite their shortcomings in the postseason, the Bucks still attained the best record in the league in the past two seasons. Add in the fact that the Warriors haven't played an official game since March. They finished their last campaign with the worst record in the NBA, winning just 15 of 65 games.

The Warriors' tough luck does not end there, as their preparations for the upcoming season has already hit major snags. All-Star guard Klay Thompson will miss his second season in a row after tearing his Achilles, while two unnamed players recently tested positive for COVID-19, causing a halt in their scheduled training camp.

The odds are certainly not looking good for Stephen Curry and company heading into the new season, but it would be foolish to count them out right away. After all, they still boast a championship resume, while their new additions should spice things up in The Bay.
