In a rather unsurprising move, the Golden State Warriors are resting their attacking core in Stephen Curry and Andrew Wiggins, as well as their defensive anchor in Draymond Green to prepare for their final game of the season against the Memphis Grizzlies and for the play-in tournament.

According to Anthony Slater of The Athletic, the trio will be sidelined during Friday's game against the New Orleans Pelicans after being “banged up” all season long. Interestingly, the Memphis Grizzlies will do the same since Sunday's Dubs-Grizz showdown could have huge implications in the play-in standings and matchup.

The Warriors and Grizzlies are at 37-33 in the West, and should they both win or lose during Friday's game, they would be entering the final game of the season fighting for the important eighth seed in the standings.

With that said, it makes sense for the Warriors to rest Stephen Curry, Andrew Wiggins and Draymond Green in preparation for the crucial showdown. Moreover, it is necessary since they will be fighting several hungry teams in the play-in where it is do-or-die.

For what it's worth, head coach Steve Kerr already gave Curry time off during Thursday's practice to give him added rest. After all, he can't let his best player not be mentally and physically ready for what could be said as their most important stretch in the 2020-21 campaign.

Rest  up, Steph, Andrew, and Dray. The Dubs will need your all in the next few days.
