It appears the Golden State Warriors have already made up their mind with regards to the NBA's recent announcement of allowing certain teams to re-open their practice facilities starting May 1.

Logan Murdock of NBC Sports reports that with social distancing measures still being strictly implemented in the city of San Francisco, the Warriors will not be one of the teams that will be allowing their players to practice in their facilties.

The NBA reportedly will allow teams to open facilities in areas where coronavirus-related social distance restrictions have been eased, but the Golden State Warriors' facilities will remain closed as long as the City of San Francisco keeps its ordinances in place, league sources told NBC Sports Bay Area on Saturday.

This development does not come as a surprise considering the alarming number of coronavirus cases in the city. The Warriors do not have any intentions of risking the health of their players and employees by preempting San Francisco's lockdown policy.

Sure enough, the NBA's decision has predictably been met with mixed reactions. For some, it presents a welcome development towards the goal of seeing the resumption of the 2019-20 season. However, others believe that the decision is premature and that it might lead to a potential resurgence of coronavirus cases.

Los Angeles Lakers veteran Jared Duldey also offered a valid point, saying that teams that will be allowed to practice will have an unfair advantage over teams that will be forced to remain in lockdown. That's actually a good argument, and one that the NBA should consider at this time.
