Following the acquisition of Kyrie Irving earlier this week, the Boston Celtics have remained active in looking to revamp roster further ahead of this upcoming season.
One of the rumors that had emerged on Thursday was that the Celtics had held preliminary trade talks with the Golden State Warriors concerning All-Star guard Klay Thompson. However, the Warriors have wasted little time in shooting down that possibility, according to NBC Sports Bay Area.
The Warriors, when reached by NBC Sports Bay Area, denied the report and reiterated that the team is not shopping Klay Thompson.

Thompson's name has consistently been in the rumor mill over the last few weeks that originally stemmed from the report that the Indiana Pacers were looking to land him in exchange for All-Star forward Paul George before he was moved to the Oklahoma City Thunder.
Throughout this entire process, Thompson has remained committed to the franchise recently voicing his confidence in his future with the franchise after chatter that he had been offered to the Cleveland Cavaliers in exchange for All-Star point guard Kyrie Irving.
Although the Warriors are coming off their third straight trip to the NBA Finals while winning the NBA title in two of those appearances, there has remained talk that Thompson could be a trade target. Until he either inks a new long-term deal or voices his desire to be moved, all of this cloud of uncertainty will persist around him.
