San Francisco, CA – This season, Golden State Warriors guard Jordan Poole jumped into the scene as one of the league's best young scorers. The Milwaukee native isn't just putting the ball in the basket nowadays. He's developing as a playmaker and made strides on defense as well.
How did Poole make this huge jump this early in his career? Tough love from Steve Kerr, Stephen Curry, Draymond Green, and other veterans. Whenever the vets get on him, he understands the importance of listening.
“Well, you're never bigger than anybody else,” the Warriors youngster told ClutchPoints. “I think we have vets on our team that really show that Steph is a prime example. You don't know everything. You can have as much faith, trust, and confidence that you have in yourself, but there's always something that you can learn.”

Last season Poole averaged 12.0 points, 1.9 assists, and 1.8 rebounds. This season he's averaging career highs in all categories, putting up 18.5 points, 4.0 assists, and 3.4 rebounds for the Warriors.
“I'm always searching for that piece of information that can kind of push me over the top,” Poole continued. “While still working on my game and putting myself in a position to be as good as I can be, and help my teammates become better as well. So just being humble and having humility, showing appreciation, gratitude and just being thankful for the situation that we're in.”

Next for the Warriors guard is the NBA Playoffs. His first opponent is the Denver Nuggets. The 53-29 Warriors are the 3-seed and Denver is the 6-seed. That means the Dubs have home-court advantage, and Poole is excited about that.
