Earlier in the week, the Golden State Warriors signed free agent center Kavion Pippen and waived guard Devyn Marble in a corresponding roster move.

Despite only serving a short stint with the heralded Warriors thus far, Pippen has already been forced into getting accustomed to the way Golden State does things in the Bay Area.

For example, Pippen quickly became acquainted with two-time NBA MVP and current Warriors point guard Stephen Curry, as the Golden State newcomer recently found himself in the wrong seat during a film session.

“When I first got here, we were watching film. I was sitting in his [Curry's] seat,” Pippen told reporters this week, via NBC Sports Bay Area. “He was like, ‘You got to get up out this seat. This my seat' (laughing). I was like, ‘OK.' He's a vet so he has that right (laughing).”

Standing at 6-foot-10 while weighing just under 250 pounds, Pippen is notably a close relative of Chicago Bulls legend and former NBA forward Scottie Pippen. Not only that, but Pippen will now be coached by one of his uncle's former Bulls teammates in Warriors head coach Steve Kerr.

Leading to such a signing by Golden State, Warriors big men Kevon Looney and Willie Cauley-Stein are currently sidelined due to some lingering injury trouble. While it remains to be seen as to whether or not Kavion will be able to latch on with the Warriors, at least the up-and-coming center will come away from such an experience with quite the story to tell.
