The Golden State Warriors showed the Houston Rockets their championship mentality in Game 6.

Playing without injured forward Kevin Durant, the Warriors took care of business on the road to win 118-113 and close out the series, 4-2.

Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson picked up the slack in the absence of Kevin Durant, combining for 60 points to fuel the Warriors past the Rockets in Houston. Curry was particularly impressive in the game, even banking a triple with 1:28 left to play to help the Dubs pull away for good.

Curry and Thompson also combined for 11 3-pointers against Houston.

The series lived up to the hype, as Games 1 to 6 were all close, with both teams trying to get the upper hand over each other. In the end, however, it was the Warriors' experience of playing without Durant that propelled them over the Rockets.

Curry and Thompson usually had to step aside and let Durant lead the way for the team, but with the former Finals MVP sidelined with an injury, they knew that the spotlight was on them once again. Fortunately for the Bay Area team, the All-Star backcourt delivered.

The Warriors are now heading to their fifth straight postseason. They await the winner of the Denver Nuggets-Portland Trail Blazers series.

On the other hand, the Rockets, who lost to the Dubs in the playoffs for the second straight postseason, will once again look into the summer to make moves that will help the team become better.
