The Golden State Warriors have played two games since the New York Knicks traded Kristaps Porzingis to the Dallas Mavericks, and Warriors superstar Kevin Durant has avoided doing postgame interviews after both games.

The Dubs lost to the Philadelphia 76ers last Thursday and defeated the Los Angeles Lakers on Saturday. It might not be a big deal, but Mark Medina of The Mercury News speculates it could have something to do with Durant's upcoming free agency in the summer.

It is hard to read if Durant feels the same way. He has ducked out of post-game interviews following both the Warriors’ loss to Philadelphia on Thursday and the Warriors’ win over the Lakers on Saturday. The Warriors did not provide an official explanation.

But those absences have coincided with the New York Knicks trading Kristaps Porzingis to the Dallas Mavericks this week, a deal that ensures two max slots presumably for Durant and Boston guard Kyrie Irving.

Kevin Durant has made it known he doesn't want to talk about his future during the season. The Knicks are widely expected to heavily pursue Durant in the summer, and KD has been linked to joining New York since his business manager is a lifelong Knicks fan.

Durant is a smart guy. He probably knows the media is going to ask him about the Porzingis trade and how it's going to affect his future. It wouldn't be that much of a surprise if the former MVP is ducking the media to avoid answering unnecessary questions.
