The Golden State Warriors have gotten off to a roaring start in their first-round NBA Playoff series against the Denver Nuggets, and they've caught the attention of Magic Johnson. The Lakers legend took to Twitter to boldly claim that the Warriors were his pick to win the West, a declaration that will have Suns fans seething. Johnson cited the return of Stephen Curry and Steve Kerr's coaching pedigree as two of the reasons he thinks the Warriors will make a run through the West.
Now with the Warriors fully healthy, high basketball IQ, Coach Kerr's ability to make in game adjustments, and with the championship pedigree of Steph, Klay, Draymond and Coach Kerr, I pick them to come out of the west!

Injuries prevented this Warriors team from flexing its full force throughout much of the regular season. Now that they're back close to 100% strength, however, Golden State is showing the rest of the league that they should never have been slept on. Magic has taken notice, and the Dubs' play over the past two games has shown him enough to fully declare that the Warriors are back.

As good as the Warriors are, they'll still have to surpass the Phoenix Suns in order to win the West. Johnson doesn't seem to think that'll be much of a problem now that the trio of Curry, Klay Thompson, and Draymond Green are up and running once again.
Curry has been coming off the bench to start the playoff series as he continues to recover from injury. With Jordan Poole showing he's more than capable of handling starters' minutes or adapting to a role off the bench, it's easy to see why Magic is so high on the now-healthy Warriors.
