In just 10 seasons in the NBA, Stephen Curry of the Golden State Warriors has already created quite an impressive resume. Most people would think Michael Jordan agrees… but not so fast.
A three time-NBA champion, two-time MVP, and six-time All-Star — not to mention his fast track to becoming the NBA’s leader in all-time three-pointers made — many believe that the 31-year-old sharpshooter has already amassed a career worthy of the Hall of Fame when he decides to hang it up.
However, one of the greatest to ever lace a pair sneakers, Michael Jordan, believes Curry is not quite at that level yet.
Appearing in an episode of Today with host Craig Melvin, Jordan was asked if he still stands by his earlier prediction in a promotion for NBA 2K14 back in 2013. “His Airness” stated that himself, Hakeem Olajuwon, Magic Johnson, Scottie Pippen, and James Worthy would be unbeatable in a pickup game.
Jordan stood by his picks, which prompted Melvin to ask:
“So, Steph Curry shouldn't be offended when he watches this.”
“I hope not. He's still a great player. Not a Hall of Famer yet though,” was Jordan’s curt reply.

Fresh from last year’s heartbreak at the hands of the Toronto Raptors in the 2019 NBA Finals, Stephen Curry will be tasked to lead a much different Warriors’ line-up this season.
With Kevin Durant moving to Brooklyn, Klay Thompson still recuperating from injury, and wily veterans Andre Iguodala and Shawn Livingston no longer with team, Stephen Curry will have to shoulder bulk of Steve Kerr’s offense, while also dealing with tougher defensive coverages.
The Warriors’ new recruit D’Angelo Russell is expected to lighten Curry’s load, but the jury is still out if these two ball-dominant guards can co-exist in long stretches.
