Rams quarterback Jared Goff may anger some L.A. fans with his preference for Stephen Curry over Kobe Bryant. When Sam Alipour of ESPN The Magazine asked Goff to choose between the two, the 23-year-old quarterback had this to say about the Golden State Warriors guard and the Los Angeles Lakers legend:
“Curry! Come on, that's my favorite team.”
The Northern California kid may be playing in Los Angeles, but his allegiance is still with the NBA team in the Bay Area. Regarding his fandom growing up, Goff had this to say:

It's hard to knock Goff. He's staying loyal to the teams he grew up with. There's no shame in that. And even though he'll take Curry over Bryant, he still has the utmost respect for Kobe. Alipour pressed Goff on the notion that he could one day own the city of LA like Kobe Bryant did. Goff was quick to compliment the Los Angeles legend:
“The goal is to win games. You win a title, stuff like that will come. I actually met Kobe at the Taylor Swift concert, just briefly. He's one of the best ever when it comes to that killer instinct. I'm not quite Mamba yet, but I'm on my way and I'd love to sit down and talk to him.”
While LA fans may not love Goff's choice of basketball or baseball teams, if he wins in LA, he'll own that city regardless.
