In the midst of an early morning report saying that LeBron James would listen to a max offer from the Golden State Warriors, president Bob Myers wasn't having any questions related to that report during his media availability day.

Myers: “Before we start, I know you guys have to ask, but I can't talk about other players from other teams. I'm not allowed to, I wouldn't do it anyways. So ask your questions, I understand you're doing your job too, but just to lay that out there.”

Reporter: “How about a hypothetical 6-foot-8 power forward?”

Myers: [Laughs] “Hypotheticals should be disallowed too. I'd be happy to talk about our team. Any questions about the trade deadline that I can answer, I will.”

Talking about another player contractually would be a breach of the anti-tampering rules, getting the organization in immediate trouble for implicating anything at all regarding the Cleveland Cavaliers star.

Myers later said he's been pretty active and has talked to at least two thirds of the league, to do his due diligence at this time of the season.

The Warriors have reportedly been willing to trade JaVale McGee if they find a package that can help them and makes sense financially — currently sporting the highest tax bill in the league.

McGee has fallen out of Steve Kerr's recent rotation, due to his preference to play dual-position players like David West, Kevon Looney, and Jordan Bell, who can play at center and power forward when called upon.
