Golden State Warriors star Stephen Curry is on a heater, and he's heading into Wednesday's play-in game against the Los Angeles Lakers after a 46-point effort against the Memphis Grizzlies to close the regular season. The general assumption is Curry is going to absolutely go off against the Lakers to give the Warriors a fighting chance.

The Lakers boast a strong defense, which would help explain some of these struggles, but those numbers are shockingly bad for the best shooter of all time. This could very well just be one big fluke, and Curry obviously shouldn't be counted out. I'd bet on him having a big game rather than a total dud.

However, the Lakers will play physical defense against Curry, and that can sometimes get him out of his rhythm. He'll have to be ready for a wave of defenders and a lot of grabbing. His Warriors teammates must be ready to step up to help him out.

This play-in game between the Warriors and Lakers already has a ton of hype. Let's hope both teams step up to the plate and deliver a thrilling game as they fight for the No. 7 seed.
