Golden State Warriors star Stephen Curry is on a heater, and he's heading into Wednesday's play-in game against the Los Angeles Lakers after a 46-point effort against the Memphis Grizzlies to close the regular season. The general assumption is Curry is going to absolutely go off against the Lakers to give the Warriors a fighting chance.
However, there's a slight reason for the Dubs to be concerned. For whatever reason, Curry has been ice cold from 3-point range for a long time against the Lakers at Staples Center:

The Lakers boast a strong defense, which would help explain some of these struggles, but those numbers are shockingly bad for the best shooter of all time. The Warriors star did have a strong game against L.A. at the Chase Center this season, though he did have his struggles at home against the Lakers going back to 2018-19.
Article Continues BelowThis could very well just be one big fluke, and Curry obviously shouldn't be counted out. I'd bet on him having a big game rather than a total dud.
However, the Lakers will play physical defense against Curry, and that can sometimes get him out of his rhythm. He'll have to be ready for a wave of defenders and a lot of grabbing. His Warriors teammates must be ready to step up to help him out.
This play-in game between the Warriors and Lakers already has a ton of hype. Let's hope both teams step up to the plate and deliver a thrilling game as they fight for the No. 7 seed.
